When caught up in the maelstrom of a mosh pit, everything is a blur – stage dives, gang vocals, circle pits and flying fists. This phenomena is full of its own codes of chaos and contradictions – a moment of pure primal humanity. While it can be absolutely absurd to anyone who never dove in, it's the only place where I ever felt alive.

While hurling myself through this labyrinth of beer and sweat-soaked limbs I tend to catch still moments, frozen in time – like a snapshot. Here was the lead singer bleached in a horribly bright stage light while the crowd found itself in a dim yellow glow.

No detail is spared in this work – from comically crushed faces and a crowded mic, to flying belts, shoes, and that unforgiving floorboard. Whether you are looking to experience a moment in time entirely unfamiliar to you, or you are just looking to get lost in the linework square inch by square inch, there is plenty to dive into.

But In the meantime, I'll catch you in the pit.
